After seeing the Napa 300lpm compressor I decided to set the smitty on the shelf and try that thing. It's pretty big, and the amp draw is insane, so I'm not going to bother doing it on an aux switch with like 4awg to the rear, which would have been a requirement since the Napa compressor draws like 95a or soemthing like that.
So I have 285/70r17s (33s) KO2s. I aired it down to 16psi and then ran it up to 40. I don't run my tires at 40psi... I was packing for a trail run today and when I was throwing my boards, straps and shit in the back I came back and it was at 38-40 depending on what gauge you trust (TPMS or Milton on the compressor manifold). I did time it and it was under 3 minutes. I have lines set up to go to all 4 tires at once. So that's 16psi to 40-ish in 3 minutes for 4 tires.
The compressor does have that weird "Japanese?" Air fitting thing on the output line. I just chopped it, threw a 3/8 barb x 1/4 npt fitting and a female qd so I could use normal stuff on there.
Also, of note... this thing get hot enough to prepare a medium rare steak. Just like... be aware I guess.
