Ok... so if you've seen my videos... I run at 5 psi a lot in the winter... and I'm getting tired of popping beads haha. I kind of want the Ford Beadlocks. Here's my conundrum. I own a set of Badlands stock wheels (my wife uses them for her winter tires). But the offset is not enough for what I run....

My current set up is 37's on 0mm offset and I have no rubbing at all. Badlands wheels are 55mm.. I'd need to get 1.5" spacers to get to the same. I can do 1/2 spacers safely without adding another set of studs into the equation..

Or should I try and find some take off Sasquatch wheels at 30mm offset... But then I'm not saving as much money...

Here's what it would look like.

Current set up VS going to 55mm offset

And let's say I go with high quality Bora 1.5 inch spacers.... with my 55mm

Would love some opinions... I'm almost leaning towards the 1.5 inch spacers....

I think ya need at least 3/4” spacers on Sasquatch rims to stop “rubbing”…I’m running Icon rebound pros (0 offset) for street legal “beadlock“ solution…

Have you considered Method Beadgrip? Check out Dirtlifestyle YT videos. He tests them to 0 psi. I wheeled with him in Canada and he ran down to 3psi. They are DOT approved and affordable too.

I have no first hand knowledge of this what so ever, and as cool as the icons are, I believe I read somewhere, that they are somewhat of a bitch to put tires on and you may be looking at an added expense from the garage putting your tires on.

Just an FYI, or something to look into if you care about these things.

I personally think Method nailed it with the bead grip for most, and the direction I plan on going, but I believe the beadlocks are the answer depending on usage for some.

Edit for clarification: below is for beadlock rims.

I will add this, if you're goal is to stomp through a lot of snow and ice, you may want to look into a rim/beadlock combo that has the ability to drain.

Trapped snow and ice melts and then freezes again and if it can't drain ... well , you get the picture.

Those beadgrips are sweet. FYI i have read the Icon wheels have rusting issues!!! I would avoid those in Maine. The beadgrip are close to $270/each?

I've spoken to two Method reps and a couple people who have the bead grips and pretty much, getting the tire off the bead grip is extremely hard. The Method reps specifically said they knew of some tire shops that wouldn't mess with them. Can't recall who told me, but heard of someone using a sawzall to cut the bead. Not necessarily a bad thing... But I would imagine once you put a set on the Method bead grips, assume it ain't coming off in one piece.
