The first Bronco in my life was a 1978 with a 427/C6 swapped in, the kid that had it ran Thornbirds(?) On every 4x4 with a lift. Bouncy, porpouising 40s and 44s. Not my scene, not judging, a bit rapey.
He said he wanted them to be good off road. Any other tire outside of the AG sector is just meh.

If you're concerned with ride comfort, heavy, high inflation pressure tires are not going to improve anything except as mentioned, puncture resistance. If ride is the #1 priority, buy a set of base wheels and tires and mount special custom wheels and tires for off-road use when that capability is needed. Diameter and weight are the enemy of comfort, efficiency and wear on unsprung wheel assemblies.
