New 2025 base

I bought my '65 Mustang in 1986 for $900. They are still available at reasonable prices. It's a damn shame what's happened to the EB market though. Thank god for Jeeps.

My 2023 Bronco cost $28k and provides a lot of value for the money, glad I jumped on that. All about that base!

Was a great price. Simple is in my book better with most things. I was fired up to get one untill i got behind the wheel and discovered very poor visability close in limiting the Bronco's off road capabilitues. Then i noticed on the higher trim packages a 360 camera which i guess was added to over come this short comming. Jeep has hept the sloped hood and fenders to increase visability close in.

Those tires may surprise you. They remind me of the old Army jeeps which could go anyplace.....Even the old videos of Model T Fords going over rocks mud and climbing steep rocky terrain with skinny almost smooth tires.




Have we really gone any where? Even electric is not new when most heavy trucking back then was electric.

Those Model T's weight is closer a bicycle than they are a modern Bronco. When you're off-roading in a 3000 lbs+ vehicle skinny slick tires = getting stuck high centered.

Now, some of those old military Jeeps WILL surprise you on what they will go up, however, I've also seen one stuck in stuff I could go through in my FSB on 35" MTs while idling.

Jeep bodies are more narrow than the B6G. You also have ZERO shoulder and leg room in a Jeep. Take a Jeep on a 12 hour road trip and see how your body feels not being able to really move around or adjust positions much... You want visibility issues, try wheeling a FSB (full size Bronco) in the woods, or worse my dad had an 06 FJ Cruiser, now THAT vehicle has some bad visibility. The B6G is a great compromise, somewhere in the middle. DEFINATELY does NOT have "very poor visibility".

I too, have no mod plans. Thing is fun to tool around in.

Probably end up with some 235/85 (32”) or 255/85 (33”) tires after a few months.

Likely because he stopped to take a leak, or he didn't know how to drive one!

I've done all the above and the jeep is not comfortable. I had an oj Bronco great rig but to big for in the trees but i could sleep in the back.I think the 360 cameramay cure that issue but don't know yet as i havent driven one with that aption.

9 pages later, just another Bronco crack addict! With being on the forum as long as you have, I would have thought you’d would have seen it coming. Atleast you waited until yours showed up. Those of us with the initial 3 year wait had explaining to do about all them boxes piling up in the garage!

Installed the Ford hitch, programmed and went to U-Haul to hook up and check lights and see if spare cleared. Works good. May need a bit more drop for their 5x8. Yea, I got a base, "loaded". My little Base project turned out nice.

Where did you pick up your BD steelies? Do you know the Ford Part Number for this wheel?

Luckily, I found them on marketplace two and a half years ago. They were new takeoffs. Unfortunately, I don’t know the part number. Hopefully someone who knows the part number can post that info for you.

I have one of the few base manual transmissions made in 2025. I like it a lot. Changed out the shift ball to a white urethane one and also the spring in the clutch to the Steeda one. This transmission is cable shifted so it has a feel different from say a Mustang or one that has the transmission shifted directly on the transmission. The Bronco one can be shifted quickly but it does not like it. Nice relaxed gear changes to let the syncros work their job and result in absolute smoothness. I still don't care for the automatic throttle in 1st trying to help you out. It gets annoying in traffic when you try to just feather a crawl speed and it jacks the engine speed up. My 2 door is quick when pushed hard and will take the quick shifts when needed. It took almost 20 years to get a manual again in my driveway. The old muscle memory came right back and I really don't think about it as I drive as the old habits were still there. The manual was not for everyone and was not intended for the masses. For those who get them it is sweet to have a brand new manual in a brand new vehicle in 2025.

I love manual shift but the fact of the matter is an auto is far better especially on steep hills and other off road situations when its imperative traction be maintained without slipping.
