NEW Hidden Winch Option – Highest Clearance Setup Available!

Hey Bronco6G!

After seeing countless different winch set ups on trails throughout the country, we noticed that there were too many tradeoffs for our liking. Winches mounted in front take away approach angle, restrict intercooler airflow, expose the winch to the elements, and not to mention disrupt the clean lines of the bronco.

We first tested a skid plate-mounted winch, similar to what we see on other hidden winches, but after just one trip, we realized the skid plate scrapes constantly and wasn’t ideal for our level of wheeling. That’s when we took a closer look at 4600 class King of the Hammers Broncos and noticed they were running short-drum competition winches. They were mounted much higher than a skid plate mounted winch. We thought about how to make that option available without crazy custom work. After extensive research, we landed on what we believe is the best option, the 10,000lb Mile Marker TM10K competition winch.

From there, we set out to engineer the highest clearance hidden winch kit available, all while ensuring zero drilling or cutting was required. After extensive testing including real-world abuse during United by Bronco last week, we are proud to release the ultimate hidden winch solution!

The Hammer Built Hidden Winch

By pairing a relocated intercooler from Wagner or Mishimoto with the Mile Marker winch, we’ve created the highest clearance hidden winch setup available for purchase. This design tucks the winch between the intercooler tubes and frame rails, keeping it completely out of the mud and water while retaining your factory approach angle. Plus, with the high-mount intercooler, you’re not just adding a winch, you’re gaining a performance boost too! Think of it as knocking out two birds with one stone.

The mount is designed around the OEM bumpers, but thanks to the separate fairlead bracket, it should also work with most aftermarket bumpers that have a similar ACC/OEM Intercooler opening. You can see on the gray Bronco, we made it fit with the ADD Pro bolt-on bumper.

Preorders Are Open!

We’ve ordered supplies for 8 kits and have 3 spots left. Preorder pricing for the mount is $450, with a $1000 deposit securing your order and purchasing the Wagner intercooler. The remaining balance will be due on shipping. First batch ships next week!

Key Features:

✅ CNC cut/bent 1/4” steel mount with separate fairlead bracket

✅ Mile Marker short drum 10K lb winch

✅ Wagner or Mishimoto High-Mount Intercooler*

✅ Accessible free spool lever

✅ Optional Integrated LED light to observe the line/spool

✅ Remote plug integrated into the fairlead mount for easy operation

✅ Entire package only adds 100lbs of extra weight in the front, so no need for heavier coil springs

✅ No cutting required for OEM bumpers*

Got questions? Drop a comment or send me a DM to grab one of the last spots!

*Mishimoto intercooler required for Broncos equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control module

* Aftermarket bumpers may require modification for fairlead mounting or winch line clearance

Nice setup. However, it doesn't work for those Broncos equipped with the adaptive cruise control.

It states you must get the mishimoto intercooler in order to accommodate broncos with ACC.

Yes it does... You just have to get the Mishimoto intercooler with the ACC relocate kit.

What other hidden winch mounts are there? RC and Lobo, and I believe Lobo does not wreck the approach angle
I really like the LOBO... BUT it is lower. considerably lower. It places the fairlead right in the middle of the front skid... A place that I hit rocks with. Lobo also requires that you move the Transmission cooler. This design actually places the winch directly between the frame rails, behind the crush zone (an area where the frame rails are intentionally weaker). I have been following a few guys that have been doing this custom and leaning toward making one just for myself... My lucky timing... Hammer Built actually improved on the design I was working on....I like how they inverted the winch... (multiple reasons there) but needless to say they already have my money. I am really impressed with this design. I am good with the short drum, more than what I need. You are limited to a short drum because of the intercooler ducting is on the inside of the frame rails and the space left over only leaves room for a short drum. But again... More winch line than I need.....

Now that said I will be looking really hard at my front skid and the clearance to the winch... I do not want to bash it up into this thing so.... Will I need to reinforce the front skid? We will see.... When I get it together I will evaluate.

Line extensions exist for a reason! Looking forward to seeing your results

So with all that is needed, what is total cost to get a winch on a Bronco? Seems pretty extreme for this entire setup. I'm not trying to knock this product, but trying to evaluate the "total" a person would be out of pocket just to have a winch. What is the intercooler and ACC relocation cost? How much for your kit? How much for the winch? Are front camera and parking sensors needing relocation as well? You get the point I'm trying to make.

.... Honestly not trying to be an ass but I sound like one in my head.... The prices are listed above...... If you are looking at the design, you will see no parking sensors are moved and the camera is not effected at all.... IT RETAINS the stock bumper with NO MODIFICATIONS... So no I am sorry but I do not understand your point..... That information is all clearly listed above....

If your concern is price.... BUY a bumper mount winch with a camera relocation kit.... done, it is cheaper and you can show everyone you have a winch.

Personally, from a structural / mechanical design perspective, I like this product better than any other that I have seen... I am not going to be pulling my bumper off the vehicle and the fairlead is not down where I can be striking it against rocks. The lateral stresses on the frame are placed where it is strongest.... AND.... I would rather people don't think I have a winch to steal. and aesthetically I think it looks cleaner, but that is much lower on the priority list than strength and functionality.

I agrees with all this
