New Speaker Help

I have the base radio. Normally I don’t mind stock radios but as soon as I take the top off, forget it. You can’t hear anything without it just basing itself to crap. I’m not putting in an amp just want to replace the speakers so they sound good with both the top and off. I went to crutchfield and they gave me their suggestions but it’s been decades since I’ve messed with car audio so looking for suggestions.

If you don't want to add an amp, I would look at a speaker with higher sensitivity like Hertz:

The higher sensitivity will make the most of the lower power, and Hertz makes a quality product.
