I see that it wasn't sold because the reserve price wasn't met. I wonder what the highest bid was.

Unfortunately they didn't have that posted. I was wondering also.

I think a coat of OD Green would have made it more marketable.
True, keeping it originalish would have probably made it more marketable. As is it makes me think of a drunken one night stand between a 41 command car and a VW Thing. Nothing but regrets and shame the next morning.

I still think those early WC-6 command cars were kinda fugly/weird looking in OG form. The later WC-57 command car was a little better looking.

Family bought a brand new war surplus 3/4 ton WC-52 Weapons Carrier back when surplus was actually surplus for the farm before my time. Wish they kept it, once it outlived it's purpose it was chopped and converted into some other farm equipment. Could have been a sweet restomod candidate today. Keep the original look and feel with more modern 4bt drivetrain hiding inside.

This one was a pre-war delivery. I worked with a guy whose dad bought a WWII surplus Willys Jeep complete with some bullet holes. He painted in red & white and taught all 4 of his sons how to drive in it. Last I heard it was still sitting on the side of his house.
