If I was getting a silver Bronco I’d name it ‘the Bronco’.
If my wife gets one too I’ll call them ‘my Bronco’ (mine) and ‘your Bronco’ (hers).

I'm not sure I understand why some people seem to get so upset about other people wanting to name their vehicles. Or in this post, calling the tradition "ridiculous.'May I present to you my 2021 Bronco:
Her Magnificence, Lady Gwendolyn Penelope IV!!
(Unless your vehicle is a 60s drag car with the name written in rad hand-painted graphics, please stop naming vehicles. It's uniquely, unendingly ridiculous.)
That's Steely Dan!Sounds like the name for a big chrome plastic vibrator

People have been naming their traveling vessels forever. Can you imagine in history class talking about Columbus sailing across the Atlantic in the boat, the other boat, and the other smaller boat?
https://www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/whats-the-difference-between-a-boat-and-a-shipNo, a teacher who said that would be moronic. As everyone knows, boats are vessels that are carried aboard a ship, Columbus sailed on ships, not boats.
