Strongly considering switching my stock BB tires for 285/70/R17 Nitto Terra Grapplers as soon as my Bronco comes in (hopefully next week). I know they aren’t the best for serious off roaring, but I only plan on doing easy to moderate trails. My question for y’all is, will there be considerably more road noise with the Nitto’s compared to stock?

I dont know how many people have heard the stock tires...I have not. But, I put the Terras on my 4Runner and they are a fantastic tire. A little more noise then the stock TRD Pro tires but perform fantastic wet / dry. I truly did not notice the noise but my wife said she could tell a difference but that could have also just been from a bigger tire from a 31 to 33.

Also, not sure who says these are not serious off road tires or maybe I don't know what the preferred definition of a serious off road tires is but check the video of Fun Haver Bronco doing the Rubicon with these tires.

I have terra grapplers. They're good tires, average amount of road noise for an AT. I've never had an issue with traction either but I will say that if you're on gravel a lot, the KO2 would be a better choice. I feel like my terra grapplers are getting chewed up a lot faster than my KO2s (I live on a gravel road). If you're not on gravel daily then I think you'll be happy with them.

Just the occasional gravel trail.

What all terrains are known for being quiet?

Just put a set of these Continental Terraincontact A/T on my F150. I know, they are not very aggressive, but they are an all around awesome tire and much quieter than the Michelin's I had before.

Pretty sure Lauren is running Trail Grapplers on that rig. Non the less, the G2 Terra Grapplers are a good tire and I run the on my Jeep and my daily driver F150. I am looking to run either Ridge or Recon if Nitto would ever confirm they will be making them in a 17"

I chose Yokohama Geolandar G015 A/T the last time I bought new tires. I wanted some off road capability, but would be mostly on highway. They were not noisy. Not very aggressive looking, but worked fine the few times I had them off road.

Ah my mistake! I run the trails on the 4Runner. My apologies!

Curious if you ever went through with this. I’m currently waiting for my big bend and thinking I may put some of these on the stock rims but can’t find a pic of what it looks like. If you did can you post some pics??

I just put on Nitto Ridge Grapplers in a 37. They seem to make less noise than the Mickey Thompsons I have on my JK. Also, can't hear much noise of the soft top any wayso_O

Something to keep in mind. Most off-road tires are not horribly noisy when new. All will get louder as they wear.
