My Cayenne S e-hybrid had piped in fake engine sounds - external as well - that's a federal requirement so that electrics can be heard. Most just opt for the Jetson's car sound, like my Fusion Energi, but the cayenne sounded like a regular Cayenne S (no sport exhaust though) even at "idle".

My understanding is that was for people that switched from mod to mic top awhile back. Dealer has to authorize it. I guess if your dealer likes you enough he/she could do it but nothing is automatic about it.

That's what I thought too... But then others were saying it was for the early reservations. I am day 2 res, yet I never got that email
