Hello Everyone,

I found out the Old Man Emu Coil Springs are not compatible with the factory top hats because the top of the coil is tapered. Does anyone have a solution or adapter kit they know of?

Did you end up getting the bilstein 6100s? Are those top hats flat too? I assume as they don't come with springs so are likely set up flat for their springs.

In a separate unrelated configuration, I know a guy who had this issue with a different vehicle and he machined an aluminum collar for the hat to mesh the marriage point between the spring in the underside of the hat

emaier said you can run with "some cutting":

I do have the Bilstein 6100's. Turns out it's a "known" thing that Old Man Emu springs are not compatible with Bronco's top hats. Nor could I find a kit or replacements to make it work. With the bronco taken apart and sitting on a lift, I ended up overnighting a set of Eibach HD Pro Truck springs to the dealership. Ugh....few more days

well it's certainly known now! Let me know how them springs work to lift up the front end. I'm in your same boat and waffling between the pro truck 2s with HD springs or maybe the pro comp. leaning towards the former.
