I'm sorry, but did you make a typo or did you intend typing $112k on a frame off resto? It must be a typo?

Haha that’s what I thought also, have receipts for $112,780 on frame of restoration, brand new motor also lol, made me feel better about paying $10k over sticker on a Bronco Raptor

Honestly, as crazy as it sounds, the costs are not out of line for a full concourse level full restore with a custom airbrushed paint job, It's just absolutely crazy to do a concourse level full restore on a 1989 anything, let alone a Bronco II.

So tell us, Is it like the Nicest 1989 Bronco you've ever sat in?

As a guy who does this type of work…holy cow.
Can I get a customer like that!!??
I mean, I spent 3 hours with a tap and die just restoring threads on a TA rear spoiler and wheel spoilers.
But I charge by the job and not by the hour so I chalk that up as part of the “making 43 yr old car parts work”.
I have about 6 hours into just the resto and paint work on the front bumper.
And it forms back into a non-twisty shape once you mount it on the inner support, by the way. I know it looks funny there.

Something is not right. The dates on that invoice show the resto was done in 2004 and 2005. No one in their right mind would have spent $112,000 on a 15 year old Bronco II in 2004. In 2004 $112,000 was worth a whole lot more than it is today. Something does not add up here.

The only way that Bronco II was ever worth $112,000 was if it was owned by Pablo Escobar and making a run across the border. I am sure that OP is being truthful in what the seller told him, but c'mon.
