I've got an 8" Kicker sub that I'm going to swap in for the B&O factory sub (I know some modification is needed for it to fit) to complement my Hertz speakers. Will this harness from Crutchfield work with the factory sub harness? I haven't removed the panels to look at the sub yet...

I can always cut the wires etc., but would prefer an adapter to not cut the factory harness if possible. Not sure if the sub uses the same connectors as the speakers. Thanks!

Not the right connector.

Also no need. There is already a green connector on the subwoofer housing that plugs into the factory harness already. Not like you have to splice or anything.

There are two connectors within the housing that you will have to cut. But since you will be making modifications to the housing itself there really no need to worry about it. Not like you'll be able to go back to stock anyway without ordering a whole new housing.

If you really wanted to, you can order those connectors that go inside the housing. But last I checked minimum order quantity was 10,000 units. So unless you're looking to start a side hustle, I wouldn't bother. It would be thousands of dollars in connectors and pins.

EDIT. If you need a visual, @derichio02 posted a thread awhile back with photos. You can see the green connector (which he has disconnected).
