PPF installations I've seen on youtube remove and replace all of the graphics. The place that did mine cut the ppf right up to the hood graphic and it looks perfect
That's what my XPel installer did. He said even though they are thin you would still see the lines of the decal when the PPF is installed over them.

it is easy on a new car. You want to remove it between 70ish degrees and 80 degrees. If you do it when it is too cold it will not want to come off and too hot it will leave some residue on the paint.

How difficult would it be to remove the hood graphic? Is that something you should have done professionally? I was thinking of getting the entire hood done and removing the graphic completely. Any insight?

@Scape Goat 4K just for the Xpel. But I added tinted front windows and windshield, Exoshield on windshield, and ceramic coating over the Xpel. So I got a bit of a discount on everything for doing it all.
Hey what did your exoshield look like when it was done? It was 30s-40s when the shop had mine, and I was warned that it needed up to 60 days for all the bubbles to level out, but it truly looks like ass and I havenā€™t seen any mentions of that in the searches that I do. Iā€™m also addressing a significant scuff line, almost like a scraper rubbed on the film before it was put down. The first pic is day 2 and the second is day 5. Maybe I just need a few days of full sun for this to lay down completely?

Wow, that looks terrible, I'd say it wasn't applied right and needs to be redone.

I had mine done in the same temp range in January, but it sleeps in the garage at night. I had no bubbles in the Exoshield, but was told to be careful the first couple days to let it cure. But I've had no issues at all, no bubbles or other marks like that. The only thing I've noticed is a slight rainbow distortion when wearing my polarized sunglasses. It's minor and doesn't bother me though.

Now I did have some small bubbles in the Xpel when I picked it up. Was told they would go away in the next couple days. Sure enough, by the next day they were gone and no problems since.

Seriously, that needs to go back to the shop. Sorry, that really sucks.

Iā€™m awaiting their reply today, it looks like a couple of the bubbles have wrinkled so it almost looks like a chip from an angle. Of course I picked it up on a rainy day so I couldnā€™t avoid using the wipers intermittently. It does look slightly better this morning butā€¦ šŸ˜’

If you're doing PPF, properly, and spending $4+k. The PPF is the first thing on the paint. Everything else goes on top.
