I know many of you have been waiting along time and many have had their production dates moved back multiple time. So… don’t lose it when I say that my production date went from 8/16 to 8/9. I received an email notification tonight. How does that happen and is it legitimate?

Ford sent you an email and you are asking if it is legitimate? They not producing your original date so it could either go back like usual or in the case moved up.

Looks like across the forum it mostly FE moving up, what trim are you?

The date can go back and forth, mine changed 4 times, but yours could change again, so don't get too fussed up. Mine finally went to production July 22, but like many others, its frozen in purgatory. Don't count on anything, nothing is certain with this car.
