Protruding square metal piece in 2-door cargo area?

Greetings to all,
Just purchased a used 2023 2-door black diamond. Dealer didn’t show or explain anything so forgive me if this is a dumb question. On the left side in the cargo area, there is a protruding square metal piece. It looks like there was something attached to it that is missing. Does anyone know what it’s for and what purpose it’s meant to serve. Pic attached. Thanks much in advance for your time and help.

Dummy plugs for the wiper plumbing and electrical for when you remove the top so they aren't just rattling around loose.

A quick search on "What is this?" will give you dozens of folks that asked the same question.
Even a Google Image Search will give you a Top Removal selection.
