Have several Escort products and all but the Bronco are mirror mounts. The Max360 is a bit heavy for the mirror mount so I ordered the AR Racing billet accessory mount, added a GoPro mount, added two round magnets and voila. nice placement and exceptionally quick to remove. Magnets are strong enough it has never displaced while driving and USB plug to accessory plug in the dash.

Nice! Very clean. I've actually done this same type of thing before myself w/ another radar detector except in my case it was in my Dodge Journey. I used a rare earth magnet that was approximately 1.25" wide siliconed to the top edge of my rear view mirror (mirror's top is like a shelf) and epoxied a blank piece of steel to the bottom of the detector. Very easy to mount and adjust, but didn't move around. It was quick to remove and put in other vehicles. In the bronco's case, the accessory mount is begging for a similar solution with the right hardware.

I wanted to keep it low profile, so I bent a piece of metal, painted it and bolted it in. Velcro old the radar detector to the metal. It doesn’t move at all.

In general you should mount as high as possible below the windshield tint. Mounting lower drastically reduces ability to see threats. I’d recommend a blendmount metal bracket that mounts to your mirror here.

I had one for my v1 and have one now for a dashcam. They’re nice high quality and have power tap kits too.

This is what I have. High up so you can get coverage in the rear, as well; else it may be more biased to radar from front only.

I used Velcro and made a spacer block to put my Radenso DS1 above the mirror. The industrial Velcro is a bit hard to remove fast, but is mostly out of sight. The non metallic dots or tint strips at the top of the windshield don’t impact the signals.

This is awesome. How did you hook up the radar detector to your mirror for power? Also, are you able to move that mirror at all? I may have to implement something like this!

I ran hardwire cords back to the fuse box for both the RD and dashcam. I have the Dongar mirror adapter on the Tacoma, it’s ok but bulky behind the mirror.

The mirror still has full range of motion.
