So i just had one of my raptor headlights on my badlands go out. Come to find out there was a small crack at the electrical connector. This allowed water to get in during a long drive in heavy rain. Of course the control module is at the bottom so guess where all the water ended up…

Can anyone verify that the part in the picture is orderable part LC5Z13C788I?

Looks like there’s plenty available.
Not sure where you got that LC5Z number from though.

Awesome. Thanks a bunch.

@Ducati1098 I got that number by looking up a parts diagram for a 22 braptor on tascaparts.

Oh okay. Yeah that number shows for 22-23
The ML3Z is for 23 and up. Not sure if they’d both work, but your picture is the ML3Z module.

@flip @Ducati1098 I got my new headlight controller in. Parts match. Its not behaving properly. The behavior follows the module if I switch it between headlights. Do these modules need to be programmed?

I should add that i did a BCM LIN initialization and now neither headlight seems to work as expected. Low beams work, but no blinker or signature lightning.

its like the configuration is wrong. High beams turn on the signature lights.

I thought I remember seeing some other headlight configuration program in FDRS that is supposed to be run when replacing either the module or the headlamp assembly. I don’t have time right now to look in FDRS, but I will a little later tonight.

I ran both the BCM LIN calibration and Enhanced Exterior lighting calibration. Neither fixed the problem.

Oh okay. Yeah that’s the other thing I was referring to. Do you have any DTCs present?

The BMC was reporting turn signal short/open circuit. What is weird is one light worked totally fine until i ran the LIN procedure. Im wondering if the fact these are raptor lights is causing this. Do the white signature headlights us the same module?

Yeah that is odd.
Regular Broncos built after 5/17/22 use the same ML3Z-13C788-A
Before that the Raptor and regular Broncos were different.

There are 2 headlight fuses in the battery junction box. I believe 20 amps in spots F100 and F101. Check those, I had a somewhat similar issue with a Bronco getting water in the module from a cracked headlight after a collision.

Funny enough both of mine were blown (from swapping the bad module around) but I replaced them prior to using FDRS

Yeah I’m not sure then. It’s gotta be some type of programming related issue.
