Rear back up camera housing defect

Has anyone out there seen this defect on their rear backup camera housing? Dealership said it’s not the first they’ve seen. They also said the whole camera will need to be replaced. I’m thinking it’s either where the “injection molding” left off or it was done when the spare was mounted.
I took delivery of my 2025 OBX Sasquatch 17 October 2025 and presently only has less than 500 miles.

What defect. Just looks like where your spare rubbed on/off

I'm not seeing a defect, I may be seeing a slight scratch or small dent where the spare hit the housing. After a 5 tire rotation they all look like that.

ohh noo.
I have no jokes for this.
An Allroad of all things. I had two All roads.
Kept one forever and raised/lifted it with the Audi Deal with fixed leafs after the hydraulic airbags died.
It was a fantastic fixed height auto. It kept going up in value on the used market in Colorado and sold it after 130k Miles.
I have guilt looking a this let alone trying to sort the forensics in the picture.

A can of Rustoleum Black Bedliner spray paint will touch that up like new if you scuff it from the spare (just remember to cover the camera lens)

Sucky deal @Roger123 on the Audi invasion...at least the house was spared.

@AlienHunter - can you circle the defect? My 63-yr-old eyes aren't as good as they used to be...is it that small blemish near the end/Left?

Even my 75 year old eyes can see It's that the Bronco on the spare cover is a gelding but so is the Denver Broncos' live mascot Thunderbird. Black Magic Marker "Sharpie" can fix that.
