Hey all, so I got the shock and camera recall done for my 2024 Badlands with Lux back in January….except the dealer still has my Bronc because they have been through six or more cameras and at least two different audio/visual modules. The issue is the 360 view isn’t aligned correctly on the rear driver side. The dealer has done everything they can think, and requested a field engineer come out. Well, last week, the field engineer said it was “normal” and he thought it was good to go. The dealer and I both agree that saying it’s normal is unacceptable, so just wondering if anyone else has similar issues with this recall?

That looks all sorts of messed up. I’d ask them to put the old one back in.

They said they tried that and it still looked the same. Should also mention they ran an update and have checked all things like the mirrors etc and it’s definitely a new issue since taking my original camera out.

I am scheduled to have this recall done for my Bronco tomorrow.

Has anyone had a good experience with the recall? Should I strike this from the dealership's to-do list for the time being?

When I took my 23 badlands in for the shock recall this was also on the list. My service advisor asked me if I had any issues with my back up cam. I told him no. He said don't do the service then.

The advisor said the second they start messing with it other things can go wrong. If there's no problem, don't fix it. If there's a problem later on, I can deal with it because the recall exists forever. That was a year ago. I went back to the dealership yesterday for an oil change and a new service advisor mentioned the recall. I told her what the other advisor told me, and she agreed and removed it from the services.

This may sound like a silly question, but when you open the door does the view get better, like they installed the camera in the wrong orientation? Just a thought. Maybe it's not secured properly?

I assume it only goes in one way but... never know.

I've had no problems with mine, so I may just leave it alone. Thanks!

It’s a good question and I honestly haven’t had my Bronco back long enough to really mess with it (I have picked it up on a couple of weekends) but I don’t think it’s something like that since they have out multiple cameras in. At this point, I’m ready to just accept it and see what Ford might do for me. A buddy of mine who works at a Ford dealer on the east coast said he would tell fires to buy the vehicle back, but idk if I wanna go that far.

Now you tell me. Just dropped my 22 Badlands for the shock and camera recall. Both were operating perfectly prior .

Update here; Ford is sticking to what the field engineer said that my camera is “within normal operating range”. Ford customer experience has been another interesting experience, and I am waiting now for over two weeks to hear anything back from the rep I was dealing with, but someone else called me Monday to ask if I was happy with the resolution. He was very confused when I explained there was no resolution and I was waiting to hear back. Disappointing all around.
