It claims they have a solution?

@Ducati1098 - what’s the fix?
Just a reprogram. Software was released as an OTA update. If that hasn’t happened, it will require your dealership to program it. The programming via FDRS (your dealership) won’t be available until near the end of the 4th quarter.

There are 2 different camera recalls. I think they’re being confused as the same issue.

The camera replacement for 2021 Broncos only, is different than the 8” screen software issue. The camera replacement recall (23S48) is advanced notice. Parts are not available

Oh, yes. I thought this was the 4L/Camera issue that was supposed to get fixed Oct 2023.

The 4L camera software issue for 8” screens is being resolved with OTAs currently. Dealers will have the software available by the end of the year (supposedly). This is for 21-22’s.

The other rear camera recall is a replacement it seems for 2021 only. Parts won’t be available until April-June 2024.

Oh well. So much for us all getting 12” screen upgrades 😆

My system is all out of wack. It’s now reverted to 2.3.1 and says it’s up to date.

It somehow had Auto Updates turned off - but, that’s new since last service. I turned it back on and made sure it was connected to WiFi.

I’m one of the Guinea pigs that had the original recall performed and it didn’t work.

That may have been for the recall. Unfortunately I doesn't really say which update the recall will be included in. Did the update details say anything about it?

So, can anyone confirm the OTA update fixes the 8" screen 4L backup cam issue without exploding something else?

It’s weird. The OTA worked earlier this week - which means that’s the first update I’ve had since Sept 2022. But, it doesn’t give a version number like @Sherminiator. Just that the recall fix was successfully installed.

I have yet to try 4L, but nothing else seems to be broken. I’ll report back on Monday when I plan to take it off-road.

Didn’t recent updates make some changes to the the CarPlay layout? I don’t see that reflected. Maybe nothing noteworthy for the 8” screen.

Maybe his wasn’t for the recall 🤷‍♂️ not sure.
