Anyone know if the rear speaker pod brackets can be bought seprately from the speaker pods? All the parts drawings I'm finding have the bracket included in the whole speaker.

I am replacing the JBL sound bar from the previous owner with the original speakers because I want my rear view back, and the jbl doesn't sound any better at highway volumes anyway. I bought some speakers off ebay, but the brackets they came with don't fit, so I assume these were on a 2 door and my 4 door brackets are different.

With the speaker mounted to the side bar with a single bolt (he didn't include screws either, so I gotta find some of those that will work) the top of the pod is nearly level with the crossbar on the bronco where the bracket mounts.
These brackets have large step downs though, so that the top of the speaker pod would be over an 1" lower than the crossbar.

Anyone know a part number, or have some oem brackets laying around they'd want to sell?

You can't buy the bracket as a standalone part. You have to buy the whole speaker assembly. Parts are below:
  • Left — M2DZ-18808-AA
  • Right — M2DZ-18808-A
Roughly $100/ea.

Welp, I'm not buying another pair of speakers, so unless I find someone with some brackets they don't need, tie straps it is.

They aren’t much - could probably get a small piece of steel plate and some black spray paint and make one up that works ok.

Going through the same issue…OP did you swap back? I saw that the JBL sound bar install had to be flashed on Forscan. Did you have any issues swapping back?
I think I’m gonna upgrade with kicker rear speakers

I swapped back to the JBL sound bar. It sounds better. Plus I got a Wolfbox rear camera mirror, so don't need to see out the rear anyway.

I had originally made changes via forscan because I couldn't 100% confirm the flash had been done correctly.

However, I just got a VCX Nano and the 2 day FDRS license to calibrate my front and 360 cameras, so was able to look at the history and see that the Ford flash for the soundbar WAS done back in 2021. But just for the heck of it, I did it again :)

Having said all that... I don't know how you would switch back to regular speakers from the JBL. In the procedure to update the software for the JBL, I don't really see any options. So I don't know if/how you'd remove the JBL EQ settings and reapply the standard speaker ones.

While it does sound better than the stock speaker pods, it's not a VAST improvement. What helped most with mine and made it perfectly fine for me was adding a small subwoofer. It's just annoying that it takes up cargo space in the back. I've been thinking of a tailgate box.
