That video starts in a place I'm not familiar with. I think it's safe to assume that the Ford app is what's causing my problem, is that part of google play? I'm not aware that I have google play on my phone.

Yeah, if it's constantly running, then the ford app has a permission issue.
I'd say to uninstall it in Google play, then if you want, reinstall it.

But you can also monitor your vehicle on the ford website, which wouldn't drain your battery on your phone.

As best I can tell I don't have google play on my phone. I have a play store icon in my apps, when I click on it it tells me that I haven't set up purchase verification.

Google renamed Google Play to Play Store a number of years ago. It's the same thing.

I can confirm the sleep mode after 2 or 3 weeks, got the same message during the winter on my S650 5.0. And I believe I went out there in the middle of winter just to start it up, then 2 weeks or so after that.. back to sleep until spring.

Can't really help with the phone issue as I have an iPhone.

I logged into my Bronco's dasboard on the website and there are no warnings or messages there, it says my vehicle is in excellent health. I also called Ford app assistance and found out they are closed on weekends. Apparently the app and the website don't communicate.

I blocked notifications from the app on my phone, the little circle that shows activity just keeps on spinning.
I just got a "failed to update" message on the phone and then it went right back to spinning the little circle.

I had my sport on a battery tender for 6 months due to a move/etc. I think there's nothing you can do to prevent that message. It's time based rather than battery based as far as I can tell. A start alone doesn't seem to be enough to reset it either. The vehicle has to move, so far as I could tell.

But with that said, it doesn't mean the battery is low or anything else. Just means you haven't driven in in awhile.

My phone and OS is too old and the Ford app doesn't work so I uninstalled it from the phone. I don't need to get any information from my truck and since it's a base Sas it doesn't have a lot of features anyway. I would uninstall the app and then you can log into the Ford website and check your Bronco. There might be an update for the app so removing it and reinstalling might not be a bad idea.

I have had 4 trickle chargers that multi connectors that can attach to the battery. They plug into the wires going into the charger. 2 of them were wired wrong. Black and red wires. When I plugged them in to the wires on the charging unit they were backwards. Black going into red and red going into black. I didn't notice it until I checked the voltage on the RV battery. I clamped the black clamp onto the positive side and the red clamp onto the negitive side and it charged the battery. Just glad the charger has a default that will not allow any voltage to pass if it is not installed right.
