I remember when I remote-started my Bronco, and I thought it was too warm for seat warmers. I spent the whole 3 seconds of my life to turn them off. Why are people complaining about modern convenience?

Mine does some version of this when I DONT remote start it. Hop in, push the start button and the seats are on. Sometimes they aren't.

This is my concerned face.

I have attributed this issue to the ambient temp sensor. It is slow and inconsistent, especially after just starting up. I think the Bronco makes the climate control settings right after remote start is turned on. The ambient sensor seems to not have started reading and is using its last reading when these settings are made, and not correcting itself after the temp starts updating and showing it is now warmer. Something like this is definitely going on in mine.

Just checked my settings and they are all set to auto. So the inconsistency during a remote start is an issue @Ford Motor Company

Having the same issue with the heated seats not coming on during remote start in cold weather. Only options under remote start settings are "off" or "auto". Outside temp this morning was 4 degrees F.

Also found that I had to reboot my iPhone to get multiple remote starts. Didn’t know about menu settings.
I’ve got to do this EVERY time I use remote start from the Ford app. But I don’t reboot the entire iPhone. Just do the “swipe up” thing to force close the Ford app.

Near as I can tell it behaves as if after the app remote starts your Bronco, it is not able to detect if it is still running or not later.

So you remote start, the app reports that your vehicle is now running. Then you get home, go to bed, wake up in the morning and want to remote start it again - it thinks the Bronco is still running so will not remote start.

Force-close then reopen, however, is the solution for me. So not a big deal. I just figured one of these days Ford will push an update to fix it.

I chatted with someone at ford online for 30+ minutes the other day. Bouncing around with the settings and there are not many settings. It still did not work. Yesterday - I remote started and both seats were heated after getting in the car - maybe after it had been running for 10 minutes. Seems inconsistent to me. The only option I have for the seats are Auto and Off. I have no other options. Kinda hard to mess that up.
Worked again this morning. Maybe it has to be bitterly cold for them to work. It was 15 degrees today and extremely cold Monday morning too. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

You ask why complain? Because when you spend good money for a vehicle and something doesn't work all of the time, this allows one to complain and try to figure out why it doesn't work. Ford is setting expectations and is falling short. I have driven fords all of my life. Heck I have an 89 LX 5,0 Mustang of which is now modified to 500+ HP - I am the original owner of this beast and love it. Anyway, I am rambling on but again when something doesn't work as advertised when you purchase it, I think that warrants some complaining / whining as to why is it not working :p

yup..this is stupid..All set to auto, use remote start in 15 degree weather. finally get in and seat warmers come on to "burn your ass off" as I start it. That is stupid FoMoCo engineering right there. Auto what? Warm the seats before I get there @Ford Motor Company. Not sure on the the actual climate control but that gets going quick if it is not on..I'll have to take notice though.

shit poor engineering for an expensive vehicle..that is why people complain. @Ford Motor Company QC department must be literally asleep at the wheel.

It will be interesting to see how this shakes out.
Mine "quit" working at some point which I discovered the first cold morning I wanted to use them back in maybe October.
Then randomly they will work to varying degrees of intensity.
Feels like a loose wire making sporadic connection but I have yet to unbolt the seat and look.
I'm not going to waste my time trying to schedule an appointment at a dealer 4 months out for them to look at me like I'm crazy anymore. Or tell me they can't look at my vehicle because it's "not stock any longer".
I'd bet they could now that the warranty is up and it's on my dime though. Haven't tried it since then...
Of all the things I've experienced/heard about, heated seats is a new one. Mine are 3 different levels of lava.

I don't use them anymore after hearing about effects on testicular health 0.0

You have a legit complaint, my comment was directed to the post from 22 about the seat turning on at 65 degrees.

lol I’m past the point of “needing” those.
😂
And yeah, mine were:
1st bar-super hot grilling surface
2nd bar-Magma chamber
3rd bar- throwing the Sun into an active space volcano, covered in reaper sauce.
Now?
Pop tart filling after forgetting them on the counter for 2 hours or ambient air. It’s a crapshoot as to which you’ll get.

Had it at the dealer today. Of course the heat and heated seats had started working on their own a few days prior. Tech said they found no error codes. I guess its a Ghost.
