Roof Top options explained?

Hey all! My friend just got her Sport and I must say it has me dreaming about my ordered Outer Banks 4door! I see Fords website now has many more roof / top options.
Top – Hard Top, Molded-in-Color (MIC) $695

Top – Modular Hard Top, Shadow Black-Painted $1,895

Dual Tops - Molded-in-Color (MIC) Hard Top + Black Soft Top $1,795

Dual Tops – Modular Shadow Black-Painted Hard Top + Black Soft Top $2495

Can some one clarify a bit about the differences? Molded in color? Mod hard?
Example. I live in a 5 months hot 6 month cold state. I would only have the top off part time BUT would want a warm and solid top for winter....

this one is going to open some old wounds...

i agree it is confusing but essentially it's the difference between a molded grey one vs. painted a real black or some other color

and if you don't order the hardtop at the time of building your bronco, it won't be fitted to add it later

and some options will push back your build

MIC - gray, multiple pieces but windows stay in, bumpy texture
MOD - Modular, multiple pieces, side windows come out. Smooth and shiny (black or body color)

Thanks everyone - Very Helpful. Was realllly hoping for a white MOD top to match body color! Soulds like MOD for winter and the thicker screen options for summer sun!

White/body colored MOD top has been announced as a MY22 option... depending on when your reservation is and how fast they get through the builds before yours, you may have the opportunity to order one.

when you order the HARD-top on the 4 door Bronco - you AUTOMATICALLY get the Soft Top too ? - just confirming


IF am paying extra $695 for Hard Top, in which case I would be getting Soft Top Free, SOFT TOP should come free by default !!

No, the $695 is the upgrade price between the soft and MIC hard top. The MIC hard top alone would be much more. So when you upgrade you just get the MIC not both tops.
