Thanks for the vid, just watched for entertainment as I installed mine in a 2.3 a few weeks ago. As you say 2.3 is much easier. I used a Rugged Ridge 9500 winch which fit fine. I was able to make a hook tool to operate the clutch and the Rugged Ridge fairlead fits the RC opening.

I notice RC no longer lists separate kits for 2.3 vs 2.7, they must include all the parts for the 2.7 in all now. And on mine the winch mount channel and mounting ears are one piece not bolted like yours.

I'm trying to psych myself up into doing this, haven't been looking forward to it. I've had the kit and the Apex 12k sitting in the garage for about two weeks now, just waiting to devote a few days to it. After watching the video it confirmed my suspicions that it was going to be even more involved than what the installation manual made it out to be, and I think it might be a good idea to do the tire clearance mod while I'm hacking away at stuff in there.
