The entire purpose of those spare tire bump stops (aka “Reinforcement - Spare Wheel Retaining” in Ford’s Part Catalog) is to secure the spare and keep it from rattling. You just need to replace them with ones sized for your current system.
I have been trying to come up with an easy way to attach a GMRS antenna to the back of the bronco. After seeing a couple of these installed on other broncos it occurred to me that it would give me enough room to bolt a antenna bracket for a JL to the stock spare tire bracket. The relocation bracket moves the whole set up about two inches away from the back of the bronco. That was just what I needed to attach my antenna. Without the relocation bracket I did not have enough room to mount an antenna. I don’t like the anttena set up on the front of the bronco.
