Just got my OEM side rails off and ready to go with putting on the RTR rock rails and there’s a stupid body mount that this supposed high end equipment company completely fails to mention and without customizing the “bolt on” installation you can’t install them. Anyone experience this and what was the solution?

Yes it's 2 bolts and a Christmas tree holding it down. Took them off when I put on rci frame mount sliders on my raptor.

I got really frustrated with some of the other rtr stuff (rear tire carrier and Jerry can mount)
It seemed really high quality but the install was horrid and the Jerry can mount rattled terribly. It’s like they don’t actually do installs or test drive their stuff, just design it on the computer

I removed the bracket and just had to do a little trimming on the rubber part of the "mud flap". I was actually able to cut the bracket with a dremel so if it ever cools down below hell on earth here in Phx, I may put them back on. They are definitely the most stout rock rails I've ever seen. Overall, I really like them so far.

Adding to my earlier complaint about RTR, they don't have have their directions accurate for installation. Has not one person at RTR noticed that they reference the wrong size bolts in the instructions compared to the photograph with annotations on at least 2-3 steps. That's basic!
