I just like the look and having the even amount of bolts.

The beadlock ring would have kept the tire on the wheel
Yeah I just watched it again. He didn't slip the bead, he pinched the sidewall. C'mon readers,...understand what these are for!!! Beadlocks do not keep you from pinching holes in your tires.

If you assemble them as the designated beadlock they are non DOT approved in many states so this puts you in a "hard core" rock crawler group where you have two sets of tires/wheels. Also most people on this site will never be in a situation to actually NEED beadlocks because that severe wheeling takes a toll on a vehicle. Being brand new,.. I don't see this happening. Lastly if someone really wants/needs beadlocks. Go with the Icon wheels, they are lighter and DOT approved. When you see a hard core wheeler with true beadlocks it will likely be older and have rock rash, dents and such.
Thatā€™s what mine will look like after I do the Rubicon again this time with the Bronco. They are made to have fun off-roading not for show room looks.

Gap is crazy big. I think Iā€™m going to just set the stock rings up on cnc and drill the extra holes.
Here what it looks like

Bummer. I've wondered if the stock ones could be drilled out. OMF performance makes real beadlock and beauty rings for raptor wheels. I haven't reached out to them yet to see if theirs would fit.

I'm not denying that at all but I have been wheeling for 30 years aired way down all of the time and never lost a bead so to say that someone actually NEEDS them is quite different. Look at Litebrite videos on 21 road in Colorado. This is what I mean. You are correct that there may be several people rollong on beadlocks but I'm saying 99% of the stuff they will be doing can be done sans beadlocks
Hey Broncotrax,
I agree that with you that with today's wheel technology, the need for true beadlocks is diminishing. For most Bronco owners they will not be needed. But for the old school and dedicated, there will still be those that use beadlocks. I will end up having a separate set of beadlock wheels with 37" tires, for use on specific adventures. Day to day, I will use a set of non-bead locks with 35's.

I got 1 of the 17-18 raptor bead lock rings. Since they come in 4 packs figured I would need a 5th if I did do it. Ill bolt it on the spare and see what I think.
Please post a photo!

Fit perfect bolting on. I didn't flip the bead of the tire to do the true beadlock but looks right

I disagree with your thoughts Broncotrax. I believe that the percentage of beadlock rims used on Bronco's will closely mirror the percentage of beadlock rims used on Jeeps. There are many of us that intend on using the full capabilities of the Bronco, as it was designed. There will be a good percentage that are not just mall crawlers and will proudly show the dings and scratches that come with using the Bronco to its fullest...
šŸ’Æ percent agree with you. God damn mall crawlers šŸ˜

Iā€™ll be flipping the bead here next month when I get it. Iā€™ll post a picture here. I do a lot of driving but not daily. Mostly on weekends for the adventure and I do feel that I will be needed them as I tend to get myself in rough spots from time to time. Thatā€™s when I worry about airing down below 15psi I have seen people on the trail pop a bead and it hasnā€™t been fun. Did you end up cnc the stock rings?
