My brother gave me a set of SAS takeoff shocks he got for a great price to put on my non SAS. Come to find out they were on a 2 door 2.7 SAS, mine is a 4 door 2.3 non SAS. I don’t do any serious off-roading just an occasional forest road cruise. Will these perform decently or am I better off on my stock ones. I’ve done a few google searches on weight difference and it sounds like it’s couple hundred lbs difference. Any input is appreciated.

They will give you a bit of lift, and yeah, the Bilsteins are a good bit better shocks than the Hitachis are. But keep in mind they are under recall - and not being the original vehicle, you can’t take them in for the fix if the reservoirs fall off

The springs will be different since it’s 2dr/4dr so you probably won’t get 1.5” of lift, but if they didn’t cost you anything I’d throw them on and see how they do

The guy claims they have less than a hundred miles and they were only $250. I’m considering buying the silicon Ford suggests and doing their cheap solution. My real concern is the 2 door to a 4 weight difference.

Depends on how particular you are about the ride and how heavy you run your rig

I’m of the opinion of try it - worst that happens is you either swap back or you get a new spring later because it’s too soft or you ride to low.
