I was tired of the tweeters on my replacement speakers pushing up the factory speaker covers so I modified them. I just warmed up the middles with a heat gun and pressed them over a metal cup with a foil ball on the end. I did the same thing with the rear pods.

Got any pics of the rears? What speakers did you put in the rears?

I am running JL audio C1’s. Not sure what he is running. Hopefully he responds.

I've been very close to ordering the C1's but have been held back by the thought that they might rub on the grille. Do yours rub? Are you running C1's front and rear?

Yes they do rub in the rear… the grills won’t go all the way on. I have not tried the front grill yet because I am still playing with crossovers on those. I will update you on the front when I do. I have heard the fronts are fine though.

It's kinda like you gave your grills nipples

I'm not saying that's a bad thing. Inventive

Strange, I am also running the C1s for my 3 dash speakers and my grilles do not hit the tweeters...it is very close, but I am able to flex the grille down a couple mm before it hits.

The back speakers would not fit, I used Focal ACX for those, the tweeters are more flush so no issues with clearance.
