Skid plates recommendations?

If your bronco did not come with full skid plates, what have you added. Lets see some pictures. What brands do you like and why.

I added a Mabbet aluminum transmission skid plate. And DV8 shock/trailing arm skids.

Went with factory set mostly because of the tank skid’s one-piece construction/beefiness. Price is hard to beat for what you get. If I had a two door that came with tank skid I might have got something else.

I love UHMW skids. Have them on my side by side. It just glides over rocks. But damn they’re expensive for a Bronco.

Yeah, they’re not cheap. But dang are they so much nicer than regular skids.

Next Venture does seem to have a lot of sales though. I think they have one going on now if I remember the email correctly

I went with NVM as well but only because I was able to get a brand new set for 55% off. I haven't installed them yet but they look very nice and feel surprisingly beefy for being aluminum.

I just got the stock ones at 20% off sale and added a LOD trans skid…if they get too bent up I’ll do something else…but I ain’t doing much serious wheeling anymore…

My BB came with plastic or nothing, except for the nice fuel skid so:

RC Hidden winch bashplate: I like it
Ford engine skid: fine and inexpensive, but why do they leave a hole under the vulnerable differential?
ASFIR Aluminum Transmission: For those with a 2.3 and no stabar disco this one gives up the least ground clearance, a bit pricy.
Ford Transfer Case skid: Inexpensive easy install. I added a dyi brace to the rear (like the ASFIR one)
Barnes shock skids: Didn't have to deal with that rear shock bolt again!!

Front to back:

Addictive Desert Designs front skid that goes with their bumper. Steel, heavy, strong

OEM under the engine

RPM Bronco transmission and transfer case 1/4" aluminum skids. I don't do any hardcore crawling in this rig, so the combo works for me. Need to get a gas tank skid.

Did you have factory tow hooks,(plastic bumper) and if you did did they fit with front plate?

I have oem mod bumper, bash, engine, gas, and talons transfer and transmission skids. talons fit right in. If I abuse, the oem bash and engine, I'll replace with talent
