So, 2D mod top or MIC and soft top...

I want the mod top for the extra removable panels/glass as I don't really have an ideal storage location for the clamshell. So that's a $2500 option in Canada.
Or do I go with the MIC top and an aftermarket folding soft top for summer jamming?

Mod top is going to be great for 2 door.

the hatch will also offer extra safety in a roll over for rear passengers plus more open air experience.

If you remove all the panels and glass the mod top will practically be open air itself which is good because apparently its more heavy to remove than the MIC top. so you might never really need to remove it.

. Yes it sure does, My build below. Yeah the nice thing about the mod top on a two door is the big side windows pop out and so does a gunners hatch on the clamshell and I’m willing to bet it would only take 10 or 15 minutes to unbolt the rear hatch . Plus later on if you want to you can get it wrapped in white or any other color.

And I’ve seen it posted multiple times throughout B6G that removing the mod top would be harder since it’s heavier but I disagree. I think once you pop out the gunner hatch and the side windows it will be the same weight or lighter and it will be much easier to lift since you can grab at the window openings

Excellent points. Yeah, removing the rear window would make that mod top tits!
Maybe fab some kinda quick release hitch pins? The wiring disconnect is already there for the clamshell removal, so....
