So you think the AIG Strut will get the bar completely up level with the top?
Let me go look....
It raises up about two inches below roll bar height. Pretty close!

You are right. It’s close. I just lifted my bar until it hit the stops and it looks like it only needs about 3 more inches to get to where I’m shutting for. How much more throw do you think the AIG strut has in it? I’ll probably go with a strut once I get the bar to lift up more.

If you pull up their thread on the struts, they tell you how much higher in the first couple posts.

Perfect. Thanks. Not the solution to what I’m looking for as physical stops won’t let it get that high but most certainly will be helpful once I get to that point.

In the vids, it doesn't look that high, but with the windows out, it goes nearly all the way up. Very happy.

I’m thinking if I cut out the area I have marked red, file the edges smooth and then repaint it, it will make it to the top.

You need the soft top assist. The bar is always in the way. Then grab the raised lid cargo enclosure To secure those tools. Can loft the lid all the way up and get a better shot tomorrow.

I’ve seen this and do like it but it wouldn’t work for me due to limited height. Also I do not want the soft assist for a few different reasons. The biggest one being that after I mod the bar it wouldn’t raise the bar high enough and stop it from raising to were I want it to go. I was looking specifically for input on what I was trying to do, not on other ideas that only move me further away from that goal but I do appreciate your time. I simply want to raise the bar to the height of the soft top roof. I’m pretty sure what I’m doing will be rather easy and I’ll post pics of the results when I’m done.

I should add that I have the “slide out tailgate” as well. So the enclosure box will not go into my cargo area as the tailgate raises the floor about 3 inches and the box is built to go right on the floor of the cargo area. Also I tend to lay the seats down and use the space to haul larger things. The slide out tailgate makes the seats/floor area flat which is awesome. Plus we like going yo the drive in and paying in the back of the Bronco. I would hate to have to uninstall/reinstall the cargo area every time
