HI folks, looking for some direction on which spare tire carrier to purchase. I like the IAG setup as it seems to focus on the brace / hinges to hold the additional weight. However I need something now not in three months.

I really want something that can hold 100LB of Tire / Wheel as well as a tailgate mounted sub box. I suspect i'm at 130lb between the two.

The RTR looks nice but the fear of the lugs spinning gives me pause. Thoughts?

I'd hold out for the IAG. IMO theirs is about the only one that addresses the weak point of the tailgate...the hinges.

I've had zero issues in the 10 months of delivery with my R/C tailgate reinforcement plate kit. I run 37/13.5/20 with 20x10 rim. The only thing I've had to do about 30 days after install was retorque the bolts. Zero issues, the door opens as intended, no hinge fatigue, or unnecessary bouncing of the spare over rough terrain.

I would look into a system that gets all that weight off the swing-gate. Love my Expedition One setup, but there are others out there as well 🤠 .

I have started looking as well, I have true 37's. As of now, I have the spare in the garage, and I run a spare delete. The RTR setup looks good, but honestly, getting the Raptor setup may be the way to go.
