They're padded for that reason. They'll collapse. I know my head is harder. :)
Yeah, I seriously think in case of an accident, the foam and cardboard visor will be the least of your worries. LOL

Perhaps for you, but not for all of us; I'm quite happy with mine.
You're probably shorter than I am when seated.

On my 4Runner, my hair was practically touching the headliner.

I think some of y’all need to lower your driver’s seat. I’m 6’5” and use my visor all the time. It’s only in the way when I’m first in line waiting on a traffic light to change.

I am 5'11", but have a long torso. I always have the seat as low as it can go. My hair will touch my Jtops screen if I'm not wearing a hat or have hair product in it.

I went to the Bronco Offroadeo with my buddy that was 6'2" and he always had to raise the seat when we switched drivers.

When I first took delivery of my Bronco I was worried I wouldn't be able to drive it because the view out the windshield was so awkward at first. I adapted, but using the visor has always been a struggle. I got in an accident a few months back where I was at fault for running a red light and I partially blame the visors. The blinding sunrise plus the difficult to properly use visor I never even saw that the light had turned red. I should have noticed further back, but once I'm close to the intersection I can't see the signals at all with the visor down (unless I lean forward and down and look up).

Having a long torso is like having all the drawbacks of being short and the drawbacks of being tall at the same time.
