I recently swapped my 2022 Bronco w/ the 6 speaker system for a new 2024 Bronco w/ the 7 speaker system. I had a kicker key 200.4 Amp and Kicker 10" hideaway powered sub installed with a plugnplay kit in the old Bronco. I was able to remove these parts before swapping Broncos and would like advice on the best way to upgrade the new Bronco's 7 speaker system. My plugnplay kit has the subwoofer option which I believe tapped into the left door speaker for the subwoofer signal.

I'm assuming reinstalling the amp using the old plugnplay kit would be worthwhile.

Should I reinstall the powered sub the same as when I had the 6 speaker system? If so, is there harm in leaving the factory amp and subwoofer active? If not, what is the best way to deactivate?

When previously installed, it was recommended to do the key 200.4 amp auto programming sequence WITHOUT the powered sub operational. If I leave the factory sub operational, does it mess up the amp's auto programming?

FYI - I will also be replacing the dash speakers and the rear pod speakers. I did this on the old Bronco, but was not able to salvage those parts.

Thanks in advance!

The "best" approach would be to use the factory subwoofer wiring as input for your sub. But since you already have the complete wiring harness from your old Bronco it doesn't really make sense to change it in my opinion. Making the switch would be a fair amount of money for very little benefit.

There shouldn't be any issues, but if you end up not liking the way it sounds you can either pull the fuse for the factory subwoofer amp or turn off the output via Forscan/FDRS.

Yes, you will need to pull the fuse on the subwoofer amp while you program. The goal is to make sure the only audio produced is coming from the Kicker Key 200.4 itself.
