Has anyone actually done this swap? I was going to order a '24 but learned that MGV is standard. I was going to hold off for a while and see if cloth returns in a year or two, but just learned that you can buy a set of cloth covers from a take off vehicle.

So I'm curious if anyone has done this and gone MGV->Cloth and how difficult it was. Thanks.

Don't forget you could take it to an automotive upholsterer and have them installed.

I have cloth in a Wildtrak and love it. I specifically ordered cloth as it stays cool in the summer and with the top off.

The cloth and MGV seats are a different profile. It's not as easy as just trading them out.

I did sheep skin seat covers from shearcomfort over my MGV and would not trade them for anything else.

You would need the foam insert that you put your back on. The MGV seats have a dip in it up towards the shoulder blade. I bet you could easily find someone with cloth who would be willing to swap entire seats with you. If this offer were on the table for me, I would consider swapping my cloths with MGV or higher.

Put seat covers over your seats. No way in hell I would have cloth seats in an off road vehicle. I went leather which is treated and doesn't absorb water/mud. Pretty much dog proof too.
My last Wrangler had cloth seats and I covered them with Bartact seat covers. Excellent covers.
Take them off, hose them off, good as new.
