SYNC 4 & Android Auto With Galaxy S21

Have a 2023 Black Diamond and am using a Galaxy S21 5G
Music and Navigation works fairly well both with USB and wireless.

BUT

Phone calls are terrible at best making calls from the display or the steering wheel controls usually start with:
  1. The call made, display opens first ring.
  2. Then no ring and cant be heard.
  3. I have to grab the phone try to speak by switching to the phone.
  4. Then sometime I can switch back to the car.
  5. If I get to use the SYNC system to have a conversation
  6. Sometimes I cant terminate the call.
  7. After I do terminate the call sometimes it takes at least 1 minute to get the radio
  8. The 8" panel locks up at least once a week.
I brought the truck in for this but, of course they couldn't duplicate (I am sure they didn't even try to).
They said they did a reset.
I had the same trouble as I was leaving.

My phone is only 2 generations and 3 years old.

I would love to hear about others having troubles using android phones and of course any solutions..Thanks

I had this problem then I updated mobile apps manually when the trail app came out and haven't had the problem since

I'm having the EXACT same issue on my 23 BL. I had the same problem on my 22 OBX too. Tried several different phone models to no avail. It's impossible to use for calls.

Same issue here with a 22 BB and a Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus. I wait for the first ring then on the dial screen of the phone toggle the Bluetooth speaker off then back on. Then the connection stabilizes and I can make the call..at first I thought it was an AA issue but I un-installed AA and the problem persists.

Go to the Ford account and it will have the option to start a private conversation. Give them the information that they asked along with a summary of your problem. Still no guarantee that your issue will be escalated. But I can guarantee you that nothing will happen by asking them to email you.

Have had this since the full screen update early this year. I start the call and wait a couple seconds and hang up, then redial. It works on the second try every time.

Incoming calls it works fine. Outgoing calls are a different story. My outgoing calls it will place, and you can visually see what it's doing on the screen, but the recipient can't hear me and I can't hear them. I have to turn the Bronco off and shut it down in order to place an outgoing call. The only exception to this, is if I place a call through the vehicle's voice commands. It's weird and aggravating. Galaxy S22 Ultra if it's anything tied to the particular phone...

I figured it out. Got a Case number that was 10 days ago. Still no call.

When is Ford going to fix this?
Samsung has %35 of the android market.
Making a call with the Bronco is dangerous, sometimes it won't hang up, have to reach for the phone and try to finde the phone screen all while driving..
