Is there an affordable short-term use PPF type option to put on the doors for things like sand driving or other off-road?

Don’t answer “Saran Wrap”, wise guys.

I’m going to do some beach driving this year in my ‘25 HE and I have the new side steps with no front flaps (because fitment) and I’m somewhat concerned about sand-blasting my front doors. Some mud gets past the front and the steps to hit the front doors.

Yes, I’m a big baby. Let’s get past that. I’m not paying thousands for real PPF either. I also know I could just take the doors off but don’t want to in this case. .

Personally, I wouldn't worry about it. You are running stock offset wheels. If you were running a zero or negative offset resulting in more crap getting slung up than there would be more concern. But I still wouldn't worry about such a scenario for sand.

Anyway, if you want a temporary and reusable material to protect the sides, then look at Mek Magnet. (linked to 4-dr option - for others reading this comment, there is a 2-dr option.) You can search on B6G for reviews as others have implemented the product.

Thanks. Based on your username, I’m inclined to take your word for it.

That Mek armor is pretty cool though and surprisingly affordable. If I had a red or white Bronco, I would be all-in for this in December:

I second the track tape option for temporary use. I put it on my car on track/autocross days. Cheap and Easy to apply and remove

I'm wondering if the magnetic armor would wear marks into the finish after a few dusty trails.

'still considering some of the armor along the lower door areas to battle rock chips from these sling-shot tires (or get off my butt and make some 1/4 inch screen small mud/stone flaps!).

Hey! The MEK Armor for the Bronco is actually not magnetic, its a new material called nano-hold technology that bonds very strongly to the aluminum panels and will not shift, bunch or slip in the trails and will not damage your finish.
