The "Baus" Bronc

I'm waiting for the ADV 5" fenders and quarter panels install.

Funny you should mention those.... As always when things involve me there is a story. I was on the ADV and 37 kick all along and then one day after 23 years my parent company decided they were going to trim some of the lower hanging fruit from the tree of companies they own, and we were one of them. So what that meant was I no longer have access to a full blown body shop/ Line-X, 4X4, parts store, kind of shop. I have never been one to let anything get me down and it just so happened that a good customer of the stores said to me about a week before we closed ....... "Do not go anywhere for a job until you see me". So as it turns out he decided to open a 4X4/ accessory shop to help pay the bills of the truck and trailer repair shop he had already had going. So we will see how things work out, for now far so good. Took a few weeks but starting to make some sales.

Ironic thing about the whole scenario above is a week after I got the news that we were to close I got my Bronc's build date. Went from the gutter to the highest cloud in a week. Once I got that build I didn't care if I had a job or not. So more to your point the ADVs will come. I absolutely love them, they complete the first G "look", but it will be a bit delayed for now. With what happened to my job situation I had to change gears a bit. Most of what I am installing now has come from the last two weeks of the old job, buying up as much as I could afford, at employee pricing.

I will now go more for armoring up and when it is time for tires will likely go with a set Eibach springs and maybe a set of Nitto's new 38x13.50R17 Trail Grappler.

Those fenders will come it will just take a bit of time now. Ford Carlisle is coming up you never know what one might find.

Almost sunday

Yeah I have kind of a busy schedule, I have to squeeze stuff in. Some larger projects have to "sit" for a bit so I can get something else done first. Just like the IC shutter "tabs", I just didn't have time to mess with cutting off that tab, "just to get a pic" and get to dinner so I will attempt it again this week. Nice thing about the Bronc, I can have the bumper and skid off in about 10 minutes. I did throw the winch "up-in-there" to see, but did not get a pic, Mainly because the "tabs" will most definitely need to be removed, the "pads" seem to be far enough apart.

@BAUS67 are you going to leave those 'beauty' rings as is or blackout them as well?

Leaving the beauty rings as-is for now. Plan is to get a set of true beadlock rings and just run them silver as well. I like the contrast of the silver on black rim.

Today I decided to ditch these. I don't think I will be needing them anytime soon.

Who needs the IC shutters anyway. Now the winch fits a bit better. Tucked it in as far as could........for now.

I still have some more nibbling to do here and there. The upper part of bumper pads can be trimmed off and the corners of the winch plate around the new IC tubes.

It is actually back far enough now but with the trimming I should be able to tuck it up in there a bit more.

Once I get it tucked in as far as I can I will just use something similar to this "L" bracket from the inside of the frame to the winch plate.

It is a lot closer than I thought it would be for the first shot. Nice to see it back far enough. I still had a couple of fingers left at the top of the winch to the underside of the top plate of the bumper. So once I get it trimmed it should be real close to being in between the frame horns.

Couple of nights ago I went out to lock my garage up for the night and could not help myself, had to take a pic under the security light.

No problem.

Now that I think about it a bit more. These shots...........

.........are from above without the bumper on. But I know you mean an overall view. No problem. I am just mocking things up now and not driving the Bronc so everything is loose.

In these pics you can see I don't think I am going to gain anything further back, the winch and winch plate are almost touching the IC tube. That angled piece in the back round is the winch plate and if I knock the corner of that off I believe I can move the winch up some more. The black glossy part is the bumper pad.
