This was from 11/16 (a month ago).

I asked a friend with MMR access and was looking at a BRAND NEW 22 Raptor at $84K. It had sat on the lot for 1.5 years. Somebody snagged it before me. 23 should be a tad higher.

I am about to look at two barely used 23s at around $87-88K.

My barely used 23 is less. Not in Florida, but I am willing to drive it here.

Flip days are dead. Interest rates are staying high, new car inventory is skyrocketing, new cars selling at MSRP or invoice, high value used cars are sitting on lots for about 3x longer now.

Its great news for those looking to get some good deals but gonna be really rough for the people that paid ADM 6 months to a year ago.

I toyed around with getting out of the Raptor at MSRP so I could use the equity to get into something else but these should have a high floor in terms of depreciation. Plus anything new worth having is still overpriced at a crap interest rate. If you build anything itll be 8 months to a year out so youll get hit with the incoming car sales downturn. If you have the money you might as well embrace the depreciation and enjoy the thing.

Sunk cost fallacy and all that jazz.
