What is the recommendation for front window tint on the Bronco? Located in north Texas and have a 4 door FE (Area 51). Usually the dealers always throw the tint on the vehicles down here but not this time for whatever reason. So, I'm having to figure it out.

Go with Ceramic it keeps the heat out. How dark is up to you and the Tint installer should be able to help with that.

Kind of related.....usually dealer tint for the rears are around 20%...did anyone ever lock down the actual percentage for the soft top windows/rears?

I would recommend tinting the front windshield in 70% 3m Crystaline which will provide you high heat rejection and yet still allow allot of light to transmit through . A good choice of film for hot place like Texas. As for the front doors, what is the legal vlt%- 27%, for Texas ? A personal favorite is Suntek 30% cxp with good heat rejection with the traditional smoke appearance but there are lots of other good films out there.

Back windows meter at 15%. Go with a ceramic film to block out heat. I would highly suggest Autobahn Performance Films. The ceramic i3 line is great!

I did ceramic 20% on all 4 door windows. It is darker than the tint on the soft top. Most people may not notice the difference between the 2. It doesn't bother me, so I am good with it.

Oh man I'd go crazy looking at that 😂

I'm just going 20% in the front. Both vehicles now have 20% all around or on just the fronts.

Not the best pic to show but I went with 5% on the front doors and strip across the top of the windshield. Then 30% on the rear doors made them match up well. Haven’t tinted the rear cap glass yet since I’m still running my MIC 1.0 Edited for typos

Local shop recommended Llumar film and ceramic. Suggested 25% (lowest legal limit in Texas for front side windows) but thinking maybe 30% might be better. Is there a visual difference between ceramic and non-ceramic for the films?

I had my tinter match the rear windows. Someone will correct me if I’m wrong but I remember reading tint on the windshield effects adaptive cruise.

OEM tints is a dye in the glass and not really a tint. So it does not protect from UV/heat. And OEMs tints are 20%.

if you do the front windows at 15% and the rears at 50% (on top of the OEM tint), it will be a perfect color match.

Kind of related.....usually dealer tint for the rears are around 20%...did anyone ever lock down the actual percentage for the soft top windows/rears?

I’m in Frisco. I had someone come to the house. I did 70% uv/hr windshield, 15% front windows, rest was 35%. That’s what it took to look even. All uv/hr ceramic. I love it.
