The real question is-“Can you stop it safely? “

The low rating of the Bronco is probably much to do with this due to its dynamics, weight bias, and length (longer tow vehicles get higher ratings because they have more leverage to act against the trailer).

If you have a non/underbraked trailer that is carrying momentum and pushing the back of the vehicle while you’re trying to load up the brake system in a hard braking scenario, the trailer will push the back of the vehicle upward in response to front brake dive and pick the rear wheels up, reducing the contact patch of the rear tires and inciting a loss of control.
