OK, I have a fun one. Seems like my TPMS sensors are getting interference from my recently installed Form Headlights and Taillights. At least that is what it is seeming like.
Upon starting the vehicle, the readout for each tire is just fine:
After driving for a bit the sensors will keep updating as the tires are warming up more from normal driving, but 2 of them will not update. Then the system will fault and those will go blank but not always:
I've done some troubleshooting already. This started with the passenger rear only. I then went and did a 5 tire rotation and moved that passenger rear to the passenger front. Was hoping it was just a bad sensor and the fault would follow that one, but it did not. So I know good sensors are at the locations of the current faults.
Form suggested switching back to the OEM housings to see if this goes away. I can do so for the rear lights and I will, but the headlights are already installed in my GF's bronco to replace the OEM Big Bend w/o signature.
Just wondered if anyone has seen this before? I know the module has a range of frequency that it utilizes for the TPMS sensors but not sure if maybe I can get different ones to make work at either the high or low end of frequency.
The wheels are Method 703s with new TPMS from Discount tire. Those TPMS have been running fine since this past June.
@Ducati1098 or anyone ever seen this?
Thanks everyone.
