Trail App Record Function

Has anyone gotten this function to successfully record a drive? I get the app started in CarPlay (iPhone 14 Pro) and click on the Camera Button...which then asks me to position the camera. When I get to this stage I can see the view from my camera in the background of the screen but as soon as I press the Red Record button on screen again the preview goes back to the Map view even though the Record timer continues to advance. But when I press the button to stop there's no save/video available.

Am I doing something wrong? All app Permissions have been checked. I've watched several other videos and seem to be following the same steps yet just can't get the Record function to work properly.

Headed to Raptor Off-Roadeo Friday and was hoping to use Trail App to record my drives instead of my Action Cam just to capture the vehicle data overlayed on the screen but not confident that's going to work as planned.

I was able to record sections of the last couple drives I've done, but getting video recordings with the telemetry overlay has been almost impossible. I tried several times on Sunday, and managed to get one clip of about 28 seconds and another of I think 52 sec. It always seems to be going, then just kicks back to the map display and no indication that video is being recorded. The drive recording itself kept going, though, but the GPS track was kind of inaccurate in spots.

At some point previously (I think the first update after it was released), I was able to start and purposely stop a video recording, so it seems like something might've been broken in a later update.

Thanks. I was finally able to capture a couple of drives around town this morning. Not sure what was different but seems to work for me. My plan for BRaptor Off-Roadeo this weekend is to have my Trail App recording the forward motion with the data overlays and then have a 360 Action Cam capturing interior/exterior to see all of my reactions to the drives.

Fingers crossed it works come Friday morning and I have some fun videos to share afterwards.
