I live in Wisconsin but I'm visiting Denver with my four door Badlands non-Sasquatch the third week of September. I've been looking at all the trails near Denver on the Bronco Trail App and frankly it's a little overwhelming. I'm looking for recommendations from locals regarding trails I should really try to do and any I should avoid. I am a pretty novice off roader, but I do have a winch and all the standard recovery gear (snatch strap, snatch block, hard shackles, soft shackles, shovel, first aid kit, tire repair kit, fire extinguisher, etc.). I'm not all that interested in rock crawling, just some good off road terrain and mountain scenery. I did already purchase my OHV permit from Colorado Parks & Wildlife. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.

Take a look at traildamage.com I believe it now costs a few dollars but it’ll give you info about Colorado trails, this way you can decide what you’re comfortable with.

Download trails Offroad. A level 3 and under trail will be easy enough for a first timer.

Red cone is not far, not really tough and except for a section where you have a STEEP drop off on either side it's got a great photo op at the top.
