In a bizarre twist of events, I unexpectedly received my Basesquatch this week. Backstory: I placed a July 2020 reservation with a local Miami Dealer, Midway Ford. I later placed a Grangetober reservation, canceled my July 2020 reservation, and ordered with Granger. Resigned to the Granger situation being what it is, I was fully expecting a late 2023 or 2024 fulfillment.

Lo and behold, Midway Ford calls me Saturday and says my Bronco will arrive mid-March. Skeptical, I scrambled to get financing and my trade-in ready in case this wasn't a false alarm. It was not, and it arrived Tuesday night. I picked it up yesterday afternoon with no hiccups or ADM, paying MSRP for my 4-door Basesquatch + 2.7tt and AUX switches. The tailgate table I ordered did not arrive with the Bronco, and will presumably show up at some later date. Still a bit shocked, but thrilled.

Ford must have used my original canceled timestamp for the order, and I have no idea what becomes of my Granger order now, but I'm sure I'll figure it out (considering possible turning that order into a Badlands and upgrading whenever Granger can fulfill so that they don't lose the sale). Strange mix-up, but I'm not one to look a gift horse in the grill. Unless this happened to anyone else, I might be the first Grangetober reservation holder with a Bronco.

Anyway, here she is:

How late did you cancel your initial order? I ask because green was not available in 21 which means you had to order Oct 21 at the earliest. Strange how this all shakes out.

I had deferred to 2022 and ordered in December with Granger. My July reservation was cancelled a long time ago. It's really bizarre.

Congrats, but something doesn't add up. I don't know how you spec a build with Granger and somehow it ends up as a Midway Ford order?? Nevermind, I will just chalk it up to the Ford IT Rockstars

I would check with Granger and see if you res/order is still showing in their system.

Yup, who would have thought Ford being a mess could work out in my favor 🤷‍♂️

Awesome! Is it just me or is the base grill the best looking grill of all trims?

It is almost comical, Ford appears to have moved an order from one dealer to another without the permission or informing the reservation holder, but won't do it for people who plead and beg for months to do the same thing.

FWIW Ford will move Granger reservations to other dealers. I was already leaning towards doing this and switching back to this dealer regardless, and Ford reps confirmed they will do it. You need to call their customer service number (don't recall right now). They are fully aware of the Grander situation at Ford and accommodating to reservation holders not willing to wait it out with them.

Wow! The green is much better in "real life" than it appeared on the B&P. Congrats on your early arrival too!

FWIW, I called those lines and waited for nearly three months...it never moved, nor would anyone involved with moving the reservation (i.e. marketing hotline, etc) actually commit to being able to move it.

They may be fully aware of the situation but they are not playing with consistent rules.

Congrats on the ride, though.

Those are not base model headlights .

Yes those are base headlights after looking closely. I do like the base headlights better.
