Current storage setup: broaddict wall mounts, stock ford GARAGE bag for rear, shoebox for screws.
Here's my doorless tips for taking off, putting back on and driving. What are your cool doorless tips?
I use a shoebox and mark off all the original positions of the screws. A bit of good housekeeping (not necessary)
Wear shoes when taking off the doors. You never know if you have an emergency lean.
Rear floormats, just take them out. They are not staying on after 30 mph
Having a 2nd person is recommended. Dont be a hero.
Ignition should be off. I heard someone removing doors while the [engine was on / ignition in ACC mode] and the battery drained overnight
The stock ford garage bags are very nice & thick. Padding is decent but I still line the floor with a folded towel for extra protection.
I place some chairs in front of the doors just in case they fall over. Earth quake country here in LA.
Use those half rubber inserts for the door install. That extra protection is worth saving a scratch/nick. If you lost them you can easily buy 1/4 inch rubber hosing from home depot and slit them open.
Seatbelts get real flappy with the wind. I plan on getting strap padding in the future.
Safety first! What are your doorless tips?
