I can understand that. Roads and trails are maintained on the property. They do look like fire trails. 12.5 miles look like this the other 19 are grass, sand, cedar swamp or hills. Used the old logging trails from 50 years ago that were on the property for side trails. We just cleaned them up. 19 miles of them. Those are the cool ones. They go all over the place, through the cedar swamps, up ridges, even have a old house hidden in the woods the purple gang use to use. People say they hid a catch of guns around here somewhere. I’m on year 3 of looking for it.
Sounds like a beautiful expanse of property. It was clearly my fault for speed reading and not picking up on the private property. Good luck finding the cache. Often the hunt is more rewarding than cache itself.

Got caught in the rain with the entire hardtop off πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ
Wife wasn't too amused but kids thought it was funny (in their church clothes).

Wasn't horrible, but did make me second guess the leather instead of the MGV.

awesome. Thanks so much!

Well it looks great. Are you suggesting that the edge near the trail sights sticks up a bit because the tape isn’t strong enough?

if so, would a little extra adhesive help there? Or maybe really bending the shit out of it before attaching?

I have PPF on the front of my hood, so I’m wondering if I’d just tape The hell out of the light bar, knowing that it will eventually come off without damaging paint (if i would ever need to)

The issue is that the lightbar is most rigid at the ends, where the aeroskin slightly curves. So in this set-up, either the ends flare up slightly or the lightbar bows in the middle. Since the most surface contact is in the middle, the ends flaring up is the final result.

I had this issue when I first installed the lightshield pro, conveyed the issue to AVS/Lund and they sent me a 2nd lightbar free of charge…but it was more like a β€˜light rope’…much more flexible & squishy if you push on it. It lacks the blinker functionality and basically just offers the 5 running lights. I didn’t care for that anyways, so I’m satisfied…but it seems to be an issue one way or another.

In this first pic below, the original lightbar is on top and the β€˜light rope’ they provided afterwards is below it. It actually came wrapped around a small plastic wheel and fit inside an usps envelope.

Ah yeah, they gave you the standard version. I'm in the talks of getting a refund for mine. Doesnt seem to aid with deflecting air well at all, but also makes my soft top & moreso my gearshade shake ALL over the place. I don't think I could even go on the highway with my top back. The mesh shade looks like it wants to take off, and normally it's not an issue. Im going to let them know about that too once they open up tomorrow. Does yours cause any issues for you?

No worries. The β€œleather” is 95% vinyl and just was waterproof as the mgv.

Decided to taker her apart for the first time. The doors and roof take up a lot of space. Just barely fits in the garage so now I just need to know where to put the rest of it. For some reason my wife disagrees with it sitting in her living room at the entrance of the house. I thought it added a touch of authenticity

Currently I am just using a mag mount for the GMRS antenna on the top of my secure cargo enclosure Along with the short antenna that came with my Midland radio.

The VHF/UHF antenna is on this combo flag/antenna mount I picked up from Amazon

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B2WFV2CH

HAM antenna is Comet SBB-7 (NMO)

https://www.hamradio.com/detail.cfm?pid=H0-001573

Both do great with minimal SWR. Was really surprised the Midland antenna was SWR 1.0 out of the box. I had to trim the SBB-7 a little to get it to 1.01 at 146.520

Mount:

Fyi those are beauty rings not the beadlock rings.
+1. Ford didn’t really clarify that enough for buyers. They are beadlock β€œcapable” wheels. Gotta buy the rings to make them beadlock.
